The responsibility for comments appearing on these websites rests with the clubs, who will be expected to discipline members who act in breach of the Spirit of Cricket. Similarly this Association will accept responsibility for those of its members who make inappropriate comments on websites and take any action, which may be deemed necessary. IMPORTANT: CRB Certificate Renewals Many of you may have received a pack from the ECB indicating that your CRB Certificate will expire this year and that you must renew it. Our advice is that YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT THIS PROCESS WITHOUT OUR HELP. The Association held group evenings during the winter, when you were able to complete your form and have it endorsed if your certificate expired early in the season. The next group of about 12 umpires has certificates which will expire during the season. They will be contacted shortly. 25 further umpires will need to renew before the end of 2007. They will be contacted later. ASSESSMENT In addition to the routine Captains Assessments in Divisions 1 and 2, Umpires may request Boundary Assessments with a view to broadening the support which we may offer to them. Some umpires may wish to be assessed in this way in order to seek a place on the Umpires List of Premier Leagues. The Nottinghamshire Premier League routinely contacts this Association to enquire if members, who meet the requirements, could be recommended to the League s Umpires Committee . If you are interested in Boundary Assessment, please contact the Secretary. The NPL is unable to respond to direct approaches from our members.
